Gina McAdam
An acknowledged
communications expert, Gina has built a reputation for her
creativity, energy and versatility. She brings with her an
undisputed professionalism that has led to her success in
raising the image and profile of new and established brands,
both in the UK and internationally. Her expertise cuts across
various industry sectors, from art to banking, tourism, IT,
health and fitness, education, training and food.
In the course of her
career as a senior marketing and communications executive, Gina
has worked closely with some of the foremost movers and shakers
in British industry. She has dealt with Ministers, MPs and other
policy makers in key government departments and non-executive
agencies.
Gina was raised near
Washington DC, where her father was an economist with the
International Monetary Fund. Moving away from the family
traditions of law, banking, agriculture and medicine, she
started her career in advertising for Ace-Compton/Saatchi &
Saatchi in Manila where she handled various Proctor & Gamble
accounts, and at J Walter Thompson Advertising Company where she
handled the Anne Klein, Cacharel and SC Johnson brands. After
that, she travelled extensively, writing and teaching English to
senior business executives in Madrid and working in publishing
in New York.
Highly committed to
diversity in the workplace – and a staunch advocate of the power
of networking and mentoring -- Gina has been on the Board of
City Women’s Network (CWN) and is a member of both the European
Professional Women’s Network and The International Alliance of
Women. She is also a Changemaker for the UK charity Working
Families.
Gina is a member of the
Institute of Directors and an affiliate member of the Chartered
Institute of Marketing. She holds an MA in English & American
Literature from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and is an
alumnus of De La Salle University, Manila and Henley Management
College, Windsor. |
