Stillman
Nora O. Stillman
recently moved to London from New York City, where she
maintained a successful career as a drama specialist. While
working as a professional actress and voice over artist, Nora
realised the desire to explore the use of drama in the areas of
education and social justice.Nora believes passionately in the
transformative possibilities drama can provide in various
community environments. As an artist and educator, she is
committed to using drama as a medium to celebrate, explore,
interrogate, reflect and nurture -- thus supporting the creative
journey necessary to generate change.
Nora has taught in a
variety of classrooms and communities in America and globally.
As a resident teaching artist with the prestigious Theatre
Development Fund, Nora devised and facilitated workshops for
students surrounding such themes as diversity, discrimination
and gender politics, as well as implementing professional
development workshops for New York City Teachers and Regional
Arts Specialists. Nora holds a Masters in Educational Theatre
from New York University, where she was co-founder of The Womens
Theatre Collective.
