PowerBlitz

PowerBlitz

Powerblitz was a technology developed by Aquitude circa 2010. The technology has moved on and the service was discontinued, however this page remains as a reminder of what could be done then… These days, we use platforms like Top of Her Game to deliver similar results.

The ultimate virtual networking platform for employee engagement. Bring your teams together from different locations and time-zones to listen to speakers, share best practice and build internal networks. Works with most corporate IT systems on multiple devices including Blackberry and iPad.

Introducing Powerblitz

A Virtual Networking Event …. across time-zones!

Powerblitz – A Conversation Engine

PowerBlitz is what we call a “Dialogue or Conversation Engine”. It allows companies and brands to build 2-way dialogue with their stakeholders (employees and customers), through 1-1 conversations.

Aquitude has been using the Powerblitz system and methodology for several years to bring together people from around the world for unique virtual networking events. Now the Powerblitz platform is available to organisations who want to bring together their employees, partners – even prospects for a multimedia event – without the cost of round the world airfares.

Powerblitz events have two phases – Conferences and Conversations.

When the call begins, the Conference phase allows an event host or moderator to speak to all of the participants attending the event over the phone. The conference phase might feature a special guest, member of the leadership team or trainer. During any event you can share PowerPoint slides and video content with participants.

The Conversations phase allows each participant to be connected into 1-on-1 private conversations with other participants attending the event. Powerblitz conversations differ from other platforms because every participant has their own dial-in line and the technology randomly “pairs” up individual participants. The networking element of the platform is enhanced by online profiles. While two people are engaged in a conversation, PowerBlitz allows each person to view the other’s profile. This profile may include a name, picture, employment history, web site links, etc.

Features of the Powerblitz System

  • There is always a 30 second break between 1-on-1 conversations
  • There is always a 1 minute feedback session between the last conversation and the last “Conference” element.
  • The event always starts and ends with a “Conference” element
  • All aspects of events are timed
  • Conversations are always 1-on-1
There are three common formats available, but other variations may be possible.
  • Conversation event – Traditional one-on-one networking type events.
  • VIP event – A VIP can speak to all participants, but then speaks to other participants. Example : the CEO can talk to his/her senior reports in a one to one format. The CEO would stay on the line, and the senior reports would dial in at an indicated time to be put into their one-one conversation with the CEO.
  • Glass bowl event – This event allows people to go in and out of conversations. In this format, participants of a PowerBlitz conference are divided into sub-groups and randomly connected to discuss a particular topic. Example : In a one-hour speech, the Keynote Speaker talks for 10 minutes then breaks people into conversation to discuss a point. After the conversations, the keynote continues for another 10 minutes, then breaks into conversation again for another point discussion. After that final conversation, the keynote speaker wraps up for 10 minutes. During this time everyone stays on the phone and the system does the heavy lifting to put people in the proper place.
  • Look and Feel – We can work with your organisation to create a private, custom-branded site which looks and feels like PowerBlitz but is branded with your brand rather than ours.
  • Hosting – By default each PowerBlitz site will be hosted on a sub-domain of the service provider. However, for an additional investment we can support an organization’s wish to have their PowerBlitz site routed to one of their own existing domains.
  • Advertising or special messages – A host may place messages into the event which are played to event participants while they wait for their next conversation to begin.
  • Feedback – Participants can leave feedback after the event. A host may listen to participant feedback after the event is over.
  • Support – Our tech team can provide support depending on your requirements and level of customisation.
