Case Study 1: International programme for Influencing in Change

The Client, a multinational energy company, desired for employees working in its in-house consulting team to embrace opportunities for change. Additionally, the Management Team required for this highly international team to benefit from the development of skills to communicate with stakeholders/decision makers in engaging and highly impactful manners. The programme required to be designed for 100 consultants – 60 virtual (in the US and mainland Europe and video-conferenced into the session); 40 in situ (London).

Structure: the session was required by the Client to:

• Be interactive
• Provide a structural toolkit – offer a practical set of strategies that the consultants can apply on a day-to-day basis
• Be an experiential learning session

Aquitude recommended focusing the intervention on the specific process of change, its impact on others and how to develop strategies for influencing decision makers and key stakeholders. The session harnessed specific Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques to creatively anticipate issues and define impactful influencing strategies to generate buy-in,

The programme achieved the following for the participants:

• To develop a positive attitude to change and identify areas for supporting the stakeholders involved
• To instill behaviours that encouraged seeing the holistic picture and preparing for differing reactions from stakeholders
• To embrace taking the lead where opportunities lay to add value and to provide support
• To communicate with impact – use of language and communication strategies to provide stakeholders the means to view the Change positively

Case Study 2: Coaching Programme to Inspire Loyalty and Intrapreneurship

In a client organisation, a highly-efficient female employee was undergoing a phase of personal transition.

This coaching program was designed to take the coachee through the various stages of increasing creativity and passion, both attributes critical for intrepreneurship. The program married entrepreneurial creativity and passion within the corporate world enabling her to achieve a high-integrity, high-passion, and ultimately, high-performance contribution. These sessions took place via a number of 1.5 hours of face-face or telephone coaching.

The programme was highly successful, with the coachee specifically identifying an area, Philanthropy, where she wanted to make a difference. She is currently working on a framework for the Client organisation to deliver services and support to that field, opening a completely new proposition for the Client in its field of work.

Case Study 3: GenderStyles: Effective Influencing for Women

An international corporation required the development of a training session for their women employees to:

• Identify their natural Influencing DNA
• tap into others’ view of the world, quickly and effectively
• understand how others perceive and interpret messages
• use their language and gain rapport and trust
• have strategies for identifying ways to make distinct and clear messages understood

The session designed and delivered, leveraged the strengths of the LAB profile, a highly specialized area of NLP, which enables the use of language to identify personality types and strategies to influence them successfully.

The session completed its objectives and was such as success, that the Client has asked Aquitude to develop and deliver a learning experience for senior women executives in the organisation.
