Encouraging Trust
Trust has been cited as
the “highest form of human motivation” (Stephen Covey). This
workshop is aimed at managers and teams in order to maximise
trust, motivation and personal, as well as organisational,
development. The objective is to encourage leadership behaviour
that fosters trust into the organisation.
Participants will
undertake their own Personal Trust Evaluation; aimed at
generating reflection on their relationships with others, this
will be followed by open floor discussion of ways to build trust
within the professional environment.
The core of the session
revolves around Aquitude’s 4-step process: “You – know –
trusting – relationships”:
- Trust begins with
YOU: foster reliability and authenticity
- KNOW who you can
trust: examine who do and don’t trust and why
- TRUSTING requires
overcoming personal barriers: remove your barriers; work
with integrity and take principled stands
- Successful
RELATIONSHIPS are based on openness and integrity: embrace
inclusion and open communication
The team will undertake
practical, interactive trust-building exercises to actively
ascertain the subliminal power of trust, pushing their own
boundaries and removing any limiting beliefs affecting trust.
Participants will leave
with:
- Self-reflection on
their relationships with others
- Understanding of
the powerful benefit of increasing trust as a basis for
respectful and open communication
- An insight into
their own (conscious and subconscious) personal barriers in
trusting others
- The opportunity to
understand how to leverage trust and create trusting rapport
- A practical
methodology to enhance trust and inter-personal rapport,
positively impacting their success as communicators
- Confidence for
quick rapport-building with external stakeholders and other
influencers to ensure delivery
