What is Your Ecommerce Strategy?

Ecommerce Strategy

Ecommerce is growing. Accelerated by the closure of physical retail shops around the world, new groups of customers are being forced to buy online.

There is a temptation to rush a project through to replace the gap in sales quickly. But your ecommerce strategy may need to be different to your physical model. The things that make your business attractive in the real-world may not have the same appeal in an ecommerce framework.

In response to demand from companies who were forced to change quickly in the last 12 months, we have developed a new training course – Ecommerce Strategy 101.

Ecommerce Strategy Training Objectives

Much of the training that we deliver is focussed on equipping merchants with the tools and skills to implement ecommerce. However, the ingredients for ecommerce success need to be backed by a plan. This is especially important when companies are faced with uncertainty.

Course participants will learn how to:

  • Create a strategy to match business capabilities and goals with different models, technology, trends and changes in customer behaviour.
  • Design a customer-centric, end-to-end ecommerce experience that is flexible and can adapt to rapid change or disruption.

The Need for an Ecommerce Strategy

2020 was an exceptional year. Many retailers were forced to re-examine the way they sold to customers and consumers were forced to change their behaviour. Market segments that had lagged behind in the adoption of online sales had to create new channels and behaviours.

Many businesses who acted quickly as a means of self-preservation hacked together a solution because there was no time to plan. Now, as the change becomes normalised, companies need to go back and plan for what comes next.

What is your Ecommerce Strategy?
